Cougar Swim Team Host’s Season Opener

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany High School swim team kicked off their season home opener with a dual meet on Wednesday night. The Cougars hosted James River, Northside and William Flemming at the Alleghany Highlands YMCA. Kara Nicely dominated the 100 yard butterfly and 50yd Freestyle. Cora Hodges took first place in the 100yd Freestyle with a time of 1:18.85. Over the the men’s side Nolan Rosales finished 1st in the 100yd Breaststroke, and the team brought home second in the 200yd Melody.
