Dear Editor,

As we celebrate American Education Week, November 17-20, let’s take a moment to recognize the amazing people who make our schools in the Alleghany Highlands so special.

No matter their role, every member of the Alleghany Highlands Public Schools family supports our students by giving time, energy, and heart each day. Their work goes far beyond classrooms; it shapes our community and our children’s future.

We are fortunate in the Alleghany Highlands to have such caring, dedicated people helping our students grow, feel supported, and do their best.

This week, join us in saying “thank you.” A kind word, a note, or a simple gesture can mean so much to someone who gives so much to our schools and community.

Together, let’s celebrate the people who make education in the Highlands truly extraordinary. Our students are making tremendous progress preparing for their futures, and we want to extend our community’s gratitude to the team that supports them at school.

Sincerely,

Kim Halterman
