COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – On October 23, 2025, at approximately 8:16 a.m., officers with the Covington Police Division responded to Vape and More at 916 S. Monroe Ave. for a report of a shattered front door. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the glass door had been broken, and several THC-related products had been stolen. Surveillance video showed a male suspect throwing a rock through the door around 2:00 a.m., entering the store, and taking approximately $800 worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Through the course of the investigation, witnesses provided information, and surveillance videos eventually led to the arrest of Issac Kimberlin, a 24-year-old man who resides in Covington. Kimberlyn was subsequently located and arrested on October 31st and was charged with (§ 18.2-91. Entering a dwelling house, etc., with intent to commit larceny.) If convicted, Kimberlin could face up to twenty years in prison and a $2,500 fine.
Chief Smith said, “This case highlights Covington’s partnership with its Police Division. When we work together to fight crime, there are no limitations on what we can achieve to keep our community safe.”

If you have any additional information regarding this incident, we encourage you to contact Sgt. Agee of the Covington Division of Police by phone at 540-965-6333.
