Phillip Lee Taylor

 

Phillip Lee Taylor, age 59, of 507 Court Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his residence.

Phillip was born on January 4, 1966, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Melvin Louis Taylor, Sr. and Gloria Rita Thompson Taylor. He was a retired roofer and also worked for a number of years for Norfolk Southern Railroad.  He was a member of Central Advent Christian Church and the Sharon Ruritan Club.  He happily donated his time and assistance at Camp ACCOVAC in Millboro and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by three daughters, Kadee Puffenbarger (Richard) of Eagle Rock, Ashley Lewis (William) of Radford, and Bailey Taylor of Clifton Forge; three brothers, Melvin L. “Butch” Taylor, Jr. of Roanoke, Robert C. Taylor of Stewartsville, and Randall K. “Randy” Taylor of Goodview; five grandchildren, Aleah Dunn, Jianna Penn, Rylee Forbes, Treavor Puffenbarger, and Halee Puffenbarger; a number of nieces and nephews; and his special family, the congregation of Central Advent Christian Church.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.  A service will be held of privately. 

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Phillip’s memory to the Central Advent Christian Church of to Camp ACCOVAC.
