Ezekiel Saville, left, has been named salutatorian of the Alleghany High School Class of 2026. Joowon Chung has been named valedictorian. Both students will address their classmates during graduation exercises in May. Saville plans to attend Virginia Tech, where he will major in electrical engineering. Cougar Cross Country Competes at Wilson Memorial

AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA. (VR) – The Alleghany Cougar Cross Country team, traveled to Wilson Memorial on Tuesday to compete in the Valley Cup. The Lady Cougars finished second place with a score of 66, average 13:20 totaling 50:22. Alleghany Boys A finished eleventh with a score of 186, average 11:42 totaling 46:46. Alleghany Boys B finished out competition with a 395, average 13:19, total 53:15. The team will now prepare to compete on September 6th at Green Hill Park.
