CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – Get ready for a morning of fun, learning, and wagging tails. For another year, Muscles with Russell will present an engaging program as part of the summer reading program. This year they will present “Always Glad, Never Sad,” at the Clifton Forge Public Library on Wednesday, July 9, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Join Sue Ellen Haver and Muscles for “Always Glad, Never Sad,” an interactive presentation known for empowering children to have fun, build confidence, improve communication, and feel valued. Through Muscles’ relatable demonstrations of facing life’s challenges with positivity and
grit, children will learn vital social and emotional skills for building positive relationships in a truly unique way—straight from a dog’s perspective!
Muscles, a Staffordshire Terrier, works alongside owner Sue Ellen Haver to help children flourish. He’s part of a dedicated family of Staffordshire Terriers trained to assist children in enjoying learning, improving behavior, growing with confidence, and overcoming difficulties.

Muscles has proudly taken over from the now-retired Russell, and he’s paving the way for two new canine colleagues, Teddy and Bear, in supporting children across Virginia.

As an added treat, children participating in the event will receive a free goodie bag of Muscles with Russell swag, including coloring books, crayons, and stickers. Light refreshments will also be provided after the program.

For information about any library program, call Clifton Forge Public Library at 540-863-2519.
