BATH COUNTY, Va. (VR) – Allegheny Mountain Radio is excited to announce the 23rd Annual Bath Bluegrass Jamboree. The Jamboree will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the auditorium of Bath County High School. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, and the show will run from
6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Concessions will be available starting at 4:30 PM.

This year’s Jamboree will be headlined by The Little Roy and Lizzy Show. Little Roy Lewis, the youngest of eight children from the famed Lewis Family, began his musical journey at the age of six and has become a celebrated figure in the world of bluegrass and gospel music. Known for his on-stage antics, instrumental versatility, and engaging storytelling, Lewis has earned spots in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America Hall of Greats, the International Bluegrass Music Association Hall of Fame, and the Southern Gospel Music Hall of
Fame.

Lizzy Long, a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist also from Lincolnton, Georgia, has performed alongside bluegrass legends such as Mac Wiseman, Rhonda Vincent, and Earl Scruggs. She has won multiple awards, including three Dove Awards for Bluegrass Song of the Year with Little Roy Lewis and one Dove Award with Rhonda Vincent.

Together, Little Roy and Lizzy create a dynamic and unforgettable performance as the “Little Roy and Lizzy Show.”

The Mark Templeton Band, known for their celebration of fine Appalachian roots music, will perform on the ticket. With over 35 years of experience and more than 20 albums to his name, Mark Templeton continues to captivate audiences with his traditional Mountain bluegrass sound, influenced by his upbringing in a musical family in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Southern Rail Express will open the Jamboree with their signature mix of original music and covers. Led by Allegheny Mountain Radio’s own DJ Willie, Southern Rail Express has been a staple of the Allegheny Highlands’ bluegrass scene for over a decade and has performed extensively throughout Virginia.

Tickets for the 23rd Annual Bath Bluegrass Jamboree will be available at the door.

Admission is $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for ages 13-18, and free for children under 12. For more details, please call (540) 839-5400.
