6th Annual Veterans in the Park Car Show Set for May 23

Covington, VA (VR) — Car enthusiasts, families, and community supporters are invited to attend the 6th Annual Veterans in the Park Car Show on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Jackson River Sports Complex in Covington, Virginia. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and promises a full day of classic cars, entertainment, and community celebration in honor of local veterans.

Hosted to recognize and support veterans in the community, the annual event will feature an impressive lineup of vehicles, including classic cars, custom builds, and specialty vehicles. Awards will include Top Ten Awards along with Three Veterans Picks, giving participating veterans the opportunity to select their favorite entries.

In addition to the car show, attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities and attractions throughout the day, including:

  • Live DJ entertainment
  • Concessions and food vendors
  • Kids activities
  • Dash plaques
  • Door prizes

All proceeds from the event will benefit the local VFW, helping support veterans programs and services in the area.

The event is proudly sponsored by Kars Unlimited of Covington, Virginia and Covington Parks & Recreation.

Organizers encourage the public to come out and show appreciation for those who have served while enjoying a fun-filled day of cars, community, and patriotic spirit.
