Meadow Bridge, WVa- The Undefeated Bath County Chargers, led by their star quarterback Wyatt “Superman” Campbell, will travel across state borders Friday night to take on the also undefeated Meadow bridge Wildcats. Last year’s game between the two ended in a Charger dominated win of 48-0. The Wildcats are going to be fighting for redemption Friday night in this battle of the unbeatens.

Meadow Bridge has accomplished their goal of starting off strong and keeping their 31-player deep roster healthy. They’ve been leaning on star running back Kayden Simms who gained second team all-state honors in 2023. The brother duo of Trip and Trent Roles have also been factors in the team’s success, coming up big when the team’s needed them.

Head coach Dwayne Reichard remains optimistic about the possibilities this team is capable of fulfilling. The main difference allowing his team success so far this season is its depth. He has 31 student athletes playing on his team this year, which is a considerable difference from the number of players his roster maintained in seasons past.

The Chargers, on the other hand, have been decimating opponents, outscoring their opponents 152-6 over the three games they have played thus far and completely controlling all aspects of each. Senior Quarterback Wyatt Campbell has been unstoppable thus far, giving on-field performances with more magic than Vegas can muster in a whole weekend. Bath’s defense has been nothing short of mean and nasty on Friday evenings swallowing up everything on the line of scrimmage in a way that can only be compared to a Black Hole of tackling. No one can deny that Bath’s coaches have been putting in the work. They have their offense and defense laser focused on each play’s assignments and the Chargers have been having a ton of success in executing them.

The game will begin at 7:00 PM on Friday evening, September 20th. It may be quite a ride to get to Meadow bridge High School from Bath County, but it will be worth it to come out and cheer on your team as they go for win number four.
