Alleghany JV Baseball Racks Up 11 Hits Behind Strong Bradshaw Outing

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) –  The Alleghany JV baseball team backed a strong pitching performance from Joel Bradshaw with an aggressive offensive against Rockbridge.

Bradshaw worked five innings on the mound, allowing three hits and one run while striking out five and walking two. Talin Raether pitched the final inning and struck out one.

Alleghany finished with 11 hits and was led by Raether, who went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Raether added a double and triple for five total bases. Joel Bradshaw also had a big day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI.

Carson Cosby finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Hayden Wolfe went 1-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and two walks. Lennox Webb added a hit and two RBIs, and Zane George drove in two runs while drawing a walk.

Ethan Banker collected a double and RBI, while Jace Cantrell added a hit and RBI. Ben Milton scored a run and drove in another.

Alleghany also stayed aggressive on the bases and generated offense with situational hitting. Bradshaw and Raether each recorded sacrifice flies, while Wolfe added a stolen base.
