Mayor Gary Craig stated that the police were using radar and giving tickets again and he was so glad to see it. He said the best thing was nobody knew when they were going to be around.

The Mayor informed everyone that the bathrooms all over town need maintenance and the septic cleaning people needed to be scheduled to come and clean before winter set in.

Craig explained that the river park would be open a bit longer as long as there are no reports of anything bad going on.

The Mayor went on to give a report on several properties being sold which is good in several ways. It keeps them from sitting there abandoned and rotting and gives the town more revenue.

Two locals, Jimmy and Margaret, have the best apple tree in town and it got severely damaged in a recent storm according to the Mayor.  He said he himself had benefited from those apples in the past and thought that the tree should be trimmed up before fall in hopes it would come back in the spring.

Eagle Rock resident Larry Friend approached the council to ask them to allow him to place a camper on the property for 6 months where he plans to upgrade the residence he will later occupy. Friend stated that a power pole needs to be set and that he has a friend who will do the electric work as he can’t do that himself. He can run the water and sewer himself. Friend stated he wanted the 6 months to start after he brings in the camper and gets everything hooked to it. He will be doing the work in the residence he plans on residing in himself.  When asked if he could handle it, Friend responded in the affirmative. He told the council he was going to place the camper between the house and the building beside it. The council approved on a 4-2 vote.
