Mountain Gateway Community College to celebrate Grand Opening of Joe Wilson Workforce Center

BUENA VISTA, Va. (VR) – Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) invites the public to attend the grand opening of the newly renovated Joe Wilson Workforce Center in Buena Vista.

The event will take place on Friday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at 2019 Forest Avenue, Buena Vista, VA 24416.

The celebration will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from college and community leaders, donor recognition, light refreshments, and self-guided tours of the facility.

The Joe Wilson Workforce Center is designed to provide real-world, hands-on training in high-demand career fields. The upgraded facility supports programs in:

● Welding
● Precision Machining
● Industrial Technology
● Building Trades
● Truck Service Technician – Diesel
● CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
● Electrical & Plumbing
● And more

This event is free and open to the public. Community members, local leaders, industry partners, and prospective students are encouraged to attend.
