COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Excitement and emotion filled the halls of Jeter-Watson Elementary School on Monday, as Alleghany High School seniors made a special return to where many of them began their educational journeys. As part of a heartwarming annual tradition, the soon-to-be graduates walked the halls in their caps and gowns, greeted by cheers and high-fives from elementary students lining the corridors.

Smiles lit up the faces of the seniors and the young students, who looked up in awe at the older role models now preparing to take their next big step. Teachers and staff shared in the celebration, some recognizing former students and reminiscing about their early days in the classroom.

The Class of 2025 will officially graduate on May 30. The commencement ceremony is set to take place on the soccer field at Alleghany High School.
