Members of the Rainbow Garden Club visited Genesis Health Care, a nursing home in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. Sept. 23.
Members assisted residents in planting their choice of foliage plant or plants. Martha Wilkerson, Betty Dressler, Irene Drumheller, Ann Pristash, Helen Cooke and Garsilda Brown provided foliage plants, flower pots and potting soil and assisted residents with planting 25 plants and made five silk arrangements to brighten their rooms.
Nursing home personnel were asked to deliver potted plants to those who were not able to participate.
Members had lunch and fellowship at April’s Pizza Inn following the event.
The next meeting was scheduled for Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at Western Sizzlin in Covington.
