VERONA (AP) – McQuay International has recalled more than three dozen workers at its Verona plant who were laid off in September.
McQuay spokesman J.C. Campbell says the Minneapolis-based company received an unexpected increase in orders.
Seven of the laid-off workers were recalled in November, while the remaining 39 were recalled Monday.
McQuay is a division of Daikin Industries. It produces air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration equipment.
Campbell says the overall market for new construction remains depressed. But the increase in orders is a positive sign.
