The Virginian Review is saddened to announce the passing of our co-worker and friend, Linda Gurd Bogar.
Linda served as the Advertising Director for many years and truly loved her work. She always had a smile on her face and a warmth that radiated from her as if she’d captured the sun and shined its rays on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Apart from her longtime career with the Virginian Review, Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had 5 sons —Adam Crawford (Lauren), Andrew Crawford (Lisa), Luke Crawford, Trent Bogar (Tabita), and Travis Bogar (Michelle)— and 6 grandchildren— Rhaelynn, Abigail, Jacob, Brayden, Corey, Nathaniel— who she loved with all her heart. Linda was so excited about the upcoming birth of her newest grandbaby, Callan, who she couldn’t wait to meet. Callan is due any day now.
Here at the office, Linda frequently spoke of her longtime love and husband, Clifford Bogar. She shared videos with co-workers of Clifford singing and playing guitar. Music was always something the two of them shared and she often sang along with him. We can attest that she sang with the voice of an angel, though none of us were ready for her to be one.
Linda’s eternal sunshine will be forever missed inside the doors of the Virginian Review, but her memory will live on.
Linda Bogar will always be loved and remembered as our co-worker, our confidant, our friend.
