On Tuesday, the West Virginia Board of Directors voted to cancel this years state fair.
The cancellation is due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the area.
Just last week the fair’s Board of Directors had voted to move ahead with the event, however due to the COVID-19 cases to a church in Greenbrier County, it caused for action for them to reverse course and cancel the festival for the first since World War II between the years 1942 and 1945.
Concerts that were scheduled for this year are now being worked to be rescheduled for 2021.
Options are available for those who mad purchases as they can either be refunded or have roll over tickets for next years fair.
