HOT SPRINGS – Wyatt Campbell led Bath County on the football field, and now, he’s leading the Chargers on the basketball court.
Campbell, a junior, dropped in a season-high 34 points against Richwood last Thursday (December 14th) in Hot Springs as the Chargers defeated the Lumberjacks 62-52.
Coming off of a game against Eastern Montgomery, where Bath County led for the better part of it until a third quarter collapse where the Mustangs outscored 24-9 to take a lead they would not relinquish, the Chargers made sure that would not happen again on Thursday on their home court.
Bath County went into the second half with a 12-point lead and although Richwood outscored the Chargers in the second half, the margin was only a 2-point difference.
The Chargers improved to 3-4 overall on the season with the win, while the Lumberjacks dropped to 0-4.

The Lumberjacks had three players in double digit scoring. Grant Russell led the way with a team-high 22 points along with four made 3-pointers. Tyler Barnhouse and Trae Trivolette both had 12 points.
