On Saturday, December 9, Coach Jeremy Bartley took his Varsity boys and girls teams to Liberty University for their first invitational this season. During their visit to the Flames campus, the new Alleghany Cougar Indoor Track teams had tremendous success which included breaking the school record and qualifying for state.

Coach Jeremy Bartley added that, “Haley Harmon set a new school record with an 11:51.98, Brady Prior only missed qualifying by .02 of a second, but will get it next time, the boys 4×200 meter relay qualified for states consisting of Miles Christian, Brady Prior, Max Madsen, and Elijah Fasig, and Max Madsen qualified for states in the high jump and long jump in route to setting a school record in the long jump of 21’6.”” He also noted that “Alleghany will be back in action on January 6 at VMI.”
