Celebration of Life for Elwood Berkeley Cadd

The family of Elwood Cadd is hosting a Celebration of Life ceremony honoring Elwood’s life and would like to extend the invitation to his family, friends, and community to come and participate.

The ceremony will be held Thursday, November 9th at 3 p.m. at Parrish Court United Methodist Church at 2343 S. Carpenter Drive in Covington.

Elwood Cadd was a longstanding and prominent businessman in the community. He loved this city and wanted it to thrive. He was always full of ideas that would bring new life to the business community and never stopped working.

He went to be with the Lord before he was finished with his ideas, but the hope still remains that a vibrant downtown community will emerge again.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Reba Geraldine Cadd, and daughter Teresa Whitmore (Williams). He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Curtis Clemmons, and Donna and Steven Craft, survived by six grandchildren, Heather O’Meara, Jennifer Whitmore, C.W. Clemmons, Mellia Haines, Thomas Whitmore, and Meghan Craft and eight great-grandchildren.

Elwood is also survived by his sister-in-law, Bonnie Lockhart and his brother-in-law Donald Cody, and nieces and nephews from the Cody side, and his brother Malcolm Cadd’s daughters and their families.

In lieu of flowers or meals, we would greatly appreciate it if the community would actively participate in supporting local businesses, arts and entrepreneurs. We all know how hard life can be, and how times are rough for everyone. Please be kind, support one another, and lift everyone in the community up. We don’t get through this world on our own. It’s the people we surround ourselves with that hold us up.

Please, everyone love one another. ❤️
