It was a regular season to remember for the Bath County Chargers football team.

Bath County is coming off its first 9-win season since 2003 when the team last went to the state title game.

Although the team suffered their first loss this past Friday to the Narrows which determined the Pioneer District Champion and the second-seed in the Class 1, Region C bracket, the buzz in Hot Springs for Charger football is alive and well.

The Chargers this season have done some remarkable things as a group and individually.

The team is led by Wyatt Campbell had over 40 total touchdowns, while the defense had four shutout performances and held its opponents under 10 points a game through their first nine games.

Despite the loss, the Chargers, as the 4-seed in their region, will host a home first-round playoff game against the Galax this Friday at Carl F. Williams Field at 7:00 p.m.

Hot Springs will be rocking on Friday as Chargers football is back on the map!
