              Sunday, October 22                 

              Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Road near the intersection of Douthat State Park Road.

              Sgt. C. Smith responded to Bare Necessities for a vehicle accident.

              Sgt. C. Smith responded to a residence on Wilkinson Avenue to speak with a citizen in reference to threats made on social media.

              Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Road near Douthat State Park Road.

              Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Road near the Fairview Community Center.

              Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Road near Stage Coach Drive.

              Deputy Harlow checked on a suspicious vehicle on Sam Snead Highway near Mountain Valley Road.

              Deputy Harlow conducted a traffic stop on Sam Snead Highway near North Forest Trail.

              Monday, October 23                

              Deputy D. Smith checked on a disabled vehicle on Mountain Valley Road near Little Back Creek Road.

              Deputy Miller unlocked a vehicle with keys locked inside at a business on Mountain Valley Road near Little Gibraltar Road.

              Captain Weaver and Deputy Miller responded to a disabled vehicle on the Open Trail near the Cascades.

              Deputy Miller responded to Bacova for a report of gunshots.

              Tuesday, October 24                

              Deputy Bryan IV responded to livestock in the roadway on Sam Snead Highway near Home Lane.

              Deputy Miller responded to a report of an injured dog on Sam Snead Highway near McGuffin Road.

              Deputy Miller and Deputy Bryan IV responded to horses in the roadway on Jackson River Turnpike near Creekside Drive.

              Wednesday, October 25          

              Deputy D. Smith responded to Fast Break for a gas drive-off.

              Deputy D. Smith and Deputy Harlow responded to Webbs Store for someone shoplifting. Deputy Harlow arrested Nicolas Barnett for petit larceny.

              Deputy D. Smith responded to Lake Moomaw for someone lying in the roadway.

              Thursday, October 26              

              Sheriff Plecker and Lt. Grimm responded to a disabled vehicle on Warm Springs Mountain.

              Deputy T. Plecker conducted a traffic stop on Sam Snead Highway near Kingstown Lane.

              Deputy T. Plecker responded to an activated fire alarm on Shady Lane.

              Deputy T. Plecker and Emergency Services Coordinator Andy Seabolt responded to a large truck leaking diesel on Sam Snead Highway.

              Friday, October 27                    

              Sheriff Plecker and Deputy Bryan IV assisted Virginia State Police with a motor vehicle accident on Mountain Valley Road near the Dan Ingalls Overlook.

              Deputy Bryan IV arrested Dustin D. Newcomber for a probation violation.

              Lt. Grimm and Deputy Altizer responded to the intersection of Sam Snead Highway and Courthouse Hill for a suspicious male disturbing the peace.

              Saturday, October 28               

              Captain Weaver and Deputy Bryan IV assisted Virginia State Police with a hit-and-run accident on Sam Snead Highway near Woodside Lane.

              Captain Robbie Weaver and Deputy Bryan IV assisted Virginia State Police with a motor vehicle accident on Douthat State Park Road.

              Deputy Altizer assisted fire and rescue with a forest fire on Burnsville Road.

              Deputy Miller conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Valley Road near Whip Poor Will Hollow Road.

              Deputy Miller responded to Dollar General to speak with a citizen in reference to a scam.

              Deputy Miller and Deputy Altizer responded to a 911 hangup call on Bee Town Road. Deputy Miller and Deputy Altizer served an Emergency Custody Order on a male individual who was transported to Bath Community Hospital. Deputy Bryan served a Temporary Order on male individual who was then transported to a mental health facility in Roanoke.

              Captain Weaver responded to a residence on River Road near Over The Hill Lane for a report of property damage.

              Bath County Sheriff’s Office communications officers answered 248 incoming calls and made 109 outbound calls during this time period.
