Covington Parks & Recreation and Olde Town Covington will host the annual Hometown Halloween event on Friday, Oct. 27, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Main Street in Covington.
Participants are encouraged to don their most creative costumes and make their way to Main Street for an evening of fun and frights. Attendees should enter from Court St. where they can check in, register for the event, and have their picture taken for the costume contest.
Main Street will be bustling with activity as more than 70 vendors, and counting will be distributing Halloween treats. The event promises to be a delightful mix of trick-or-treating and community celebration. In addition to the vendors, A1 Studios will provide entertainment performances. Special attractions will also be set up at each end of Main Street, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
The costume contest promises to be a highlight of the evening, with prizes awarded in several categories. For children aged 0-7 and 8-13, prizes will be given for Best Overall, Funniest, and Scariest costumes. There will also be a prize for the Best Overall Pet costume, ensuring that our four-legged friends are not left out of the fun. Vendors are also encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit, with a prize being awarded for the Best Vendor Setup.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for Covington residents to come together and celebrate the Halloween season. Whether you’re a fan of frights or just in it for the candy, the Hometown Halloween event on Main Street promises to be a spooktacular evening for all.
