Mrs. Virginia Biggs Burkholder, age 92, of Covington, died Thursday, July 16, 2020, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late Francis Fridley Burkholder, Sr.
Mrs. Burkholder was born September 15, 1927 in Oak Hill, WV, the daughter of the late Lee Poindexter Biggs and Gladys Porterfield Biggs.
A resident of this community for most of her life, she was employed in the laboratory department of the former Hercules before her retirement.
Virginia was a member of South Covington United Methodist Church. 
Mrs. Burkholder is survived by a son, Francis “Fritz” Burkholder, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Eagle Rock; grandson, Jason Burkholder and wife, Penny; three great grandchildren, Addison Burkholder, Laken Burkholder and Chase Burkholder; two brothers, Timmy Biggs and wife, Virginia and Jimmy Biggs; two sisters, Brenda Dolan and wife, Gary and Bonnie Wildman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Burkholder was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee Biggs, Ronald Biggs and Jerry Biggs, and a sister, Ruth Biggs.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Yun Goo Kang officiating.
