LOW MOOR, VA – Coming off of their Region 2C baseball championship victory Thursday evening the accolades keep pouring in for the Alleghany Mountaineers.
On Friday evening several Mounties were named to the All-Three Rivers District Teams, including Hunter DePriest, who made the all district first team at multiple positions.
First Team:
Pitcher – Hunter DePriest
Catcher – Chris Harden
Second Base – Connor McPeek
Outfield – Garrett Via
Outfield – Hunter DePriest
At-large – Eli Weese
Second Team:
Pitcher – Halen Lowman
Shortstop – Eli Weese
Third Base – Anthony Webb
DH – Kole Caldwell
Honorable Mention:
1st Base – Wyatt Griffith
Along with the plethora of Mounties named to the all-district teams, head coach Seth Bradley was named the district coach of the year after guiding Alleghany to an 19-2 overall record (so far), a regional title, and a trip to the state tournament.
Alleghany is preparing for the state tournament this coming Tuesday as they host the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.
