Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Amateur Radio operators in the commonwealth of Virginia, I?wish to commend and thank you for publishing Dwight Rohr’s article, “Virginia Mountain Amateur Radio Club Still ‘Zooming’ Despite Virus.”
This article is an excellent portrayal of the adaptations and advances that we Radio Amateurs are constantly achieving.
We have been in existence since 1909 and are still developing ways to communicate effectively on Earth, with satellites in Near Earth Orbit, with the International Space Station, and bouncing signals off comets and the moon.
With the future lunar landings, Amateur Radio operators hope to make a presence with Earth-moon radio communications.
Articles such as Mr. Rohr’s bring awareness of the still relevant applications for Amateur Radio communications. Please accept our certification of appreciation in order to celebrate your newspaper’s efforts.
Thank you so much and hope you will publish another article on our hobby in the future.
Sincerely,
Ed Gibbs
