Nora Jane Spinner Christian, age 62, of 802 N. Rockbridge Avenue, Covington, Virginia died Sunday, November 8, 2020 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.
Nora was born January 21, 1958 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Walter and Nora Hickenbotham Spinner.
She worked in food service for the Low Moor Country Grill and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Covington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess B. Christian III and a brother, James C. Spinner.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony Christian and wife Angela of Lexington, SC and Donyell Christian of Clifton Forge; five sisters, Virginia Spinner, Margaret Howard, Cynthia Godfrey and husband Bruce, and Jean Godfrey and husband Arthur, all of Clifton Forge, and Laura Scott and husband Charles of Chesapeake; three brothers, Walter Spinner, Jr., Dean Spinner and Elmingo Spinner, all of Clifton Forge; a sister-in-law, Michelle Christian of Clifton Forge; four brothers-in-law, Melvin Christian and Marvin Christian, both of Roanoke, and Earl Christian and Danny Christian, both of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Raven Christian, Kahziah Christian, Kyzaiah Christian, Kemper Christian and Kruze Christian; and a number of niece and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. David Talbert officiating.
Following the service, the body will be cremated.
The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the home of Donyell Christian, 309 Pine Street, Clifton Forge, VA.
