Hunter DePriest threw a no-hitter on Monday night against the Floyd County Buffaloes and led the Alleghany Mountaineers to a 1-0 victory in their first game in over a week.
DePriest also helped his own cause when he reached base on an error in the sixth inning, and scored the game’s only run when Kole Caldwell knocked him in with a clutch single.
Connor McPeek led Alleghany (8-0) at the plate overall and went 2-3.
DePriest pitched seven innings and struck out 12 batters.
