COVINGTON, Va. (VR) — The Alleghany Cougars picked up a pair of victories Tuesday night, with the varsity team sweeping Stuarts Draft and the junior varsity also winning in straight sets.
Alleghany’s varsity team won 3-0, taking the opening set 25-14 before closing out the match with wins of 25-18 and 25-15.
The junior varsity team also came away with a 2-0 victory. The Cougars opened with a 25-10 win and finished the match with a 25-23 decision in the second set.
