Edgemont ARP (Associate Reformed Presbyterian) Church will hold its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Thursday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.
The church is located at 2306 S. Church Ave. in Covington
The annual Candlelight Service at Edgemont has been a tradition in the Covington area for over 40 years. This year, however, the service will be different with a few changes.
The traditional service will be a “Drive-in Service” held on the church parking lot. The Rev. Donnie Bowker, church pastor, will lead the service outside with a message.
Music Director Anne Scruggs and organist Beverly Barnett will lead traditional singing of Christmas carols for attendees to participate and enjoy from the protection of their cars while listening to the service via radio at 88.9 FM.
Pin light flashlights will be distributed to all who attend, to represent the candlelight segment of the service. The public is urged to attend and participation this event. Special parking ushers will be on hand to assist in parking and leaving the church parking lot.
The Worship Committee, session, deacons and congregation of Edgemont ARP Church invite the community to join them and enjoy this special service.
