Katherine C. Ford, 83, of Lexington, Va., died from complications involving a fire in her home on Friday, February 24th. She was transported by EMS to Stonewall Jackson where she later died. State Police, at the request of Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Kevin Moore are investigating the fire. Ms. Ford’s remains were transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner for autopsy and examination. At this stage of the investigation, the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
