Pansy Jewel Reynolds Lockhart, age 90, of Iron Gate, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Center, Low Moor.
She was born December 13, 1932 in Sweet Springs, West Virginia to the late Cecil Calvin Reynolds and Lena Maude Kirby. She was a homemaker throughout her life as well as a member of Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church, Iron Gate. She loved spending time with her friends and family, and loved sharing the vegetables from her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Harry Lockhart, Sr.; two brothers, Cecil Calvin Reynolds, Jr., and Dean Reynolds; a sister, Shirley Hess; and two sons-in-law, Kevin Aldridge and Tony Simpson.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Marlene Simpson of Verona, Kathy Jean Nicely and husband, Chazy of Iron Gate, and Tammy Aldridge Loving of Clifton Forge; a son, Marvin Harry Lockhart, Jr., and wife, Diane of Covington; a sister, Sue Holmes of Staunton; four grandchildren, David Lockhart, Brian Simpson, Travis Simpson and wife, Erin, and Amanda Pauley; two great-grandchildren, Ruby and Veronica; and a number of nieces and nephews, and all her Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church family.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher and Reverend Robin Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Active pallbearers will be Mattox Crance, Mason Crance, Travis Simpson, Brian Simpson, Rock Pauley and Keith Reynolds, honorary pallbearers Chazy Nicely and David Lockhart. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
