Currently on display at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library is a collection of artwork by Mary Lou and Bill Hill of Salem, VA.
Mary Lou and Bill are native West Virginians who located to Salem, VA in 1969 to pursue careers in education. Mary Lou favors informal portraits and landscapes done in acrylic, but also works in watercolor, watercolor sticks, oil, and colored pencil. Bill is primarily a watercolorist but also uses oil, casein, gouache, and acrylic. They have been juried in various art shows, won prizes at regional art shows, and are active members of the League of Roanoke Artists.
Their Rocks and Weeds collection of artwork will be on display through February 24th.
