The Covington Lady Cougars (1-11/1-1) lost at home at the Cougar Den Tuesday night to the Eastern Montgomery Lady Mustangs (12-2/3-0) 64-17 in a Pioneer District matchup.
The Lady Mustangs set the pace of the game following a 26-point first quarter in which the team shutout the Lady Cougars.
In the win, the Lady Mustangs were led by Lilly Underwood who scored a game-high 34 points, while Madison Bruce added 18.
The Lady Cougars were led by Alexus Wall who scored a team-high eight points. Tyra Rose chipped in with five.
Playing their fourth game in a row this week and third at home, the Lady Cougars host the Narrows Green Wave at the Cougar Den this evening. They hosted Meadow Bridge, W.Va. on Thursday night.
