The Alleghany Highlands Regional Library is offering free classes for adults and teens interested in increasing their digital knowledge base. The AHRL Digital Literacy series aims to increase patrons’ familiarity with computers, as well as teach participants basic skills to perform online tasks.
The first class in the AHRL Digital Literacy series is Computer Basics I. In this introductory session, participants will work through the basics of using a computer. Topics covered will include: basic functions of the computer; computer set-up; types of computers; and computer maintenance and safety.
Local instructor Adrienne Young will offer Computer Basics I on Tuesday, October 25th beginning at 6:00 pm.
