              Mary Jane Estes Cronise, age 83, of 834 Girard Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, September 16, 2022 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

              She was born October 1, 1938 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Albert L. Estes and Marguerite Dobbs Estes. She was a clerk for the former Nair’s Cleaners of Clifton Forge and also cleaned many homes in the area.

              In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Roger “Poodle” Cronise; a daughter, Cindy Cronise Baylis; a brother, George Edwin Estes; and a grandson, Nick Cronise.

              She is survived by her brother, Raymond Estes and wife Ann of Faison, NC; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Brackenridge of Clifton Forge and Doris Averill of Low Moor; a special niece, Angie Hinebaugh of Clifton Forge; a son-in-law, Tommy Baylis of Chesapeake; special friends, Chris and Wendy Wiley of Clifton Forge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

              In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

              Friends may call Nicely Funeral Home anytime during normal business hours or at the home of Angie Hinebaugh, 4800 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.
