Most importantly, a special thanks to the Westvaco Water Rescue Team and the Dunlap & Falling Springs Rescue Squads!

“It was a great event with perfect weather and it’s always nice to hear people from outside of the Alleghany Highlands talk about how beautiful our region is and how welcoming the community is of them” said Teresa Hammond, Executive Director of the Chamber. The Lake Moomaw One Mile Swim concludes the outdoor sporting events for the Chamber in 2022. “We would like to thank the volunteers of the community and our wonderful sponsors; without these individuals and businesses our events wouldn’t be successful. We are always excited to host these events so visitors can see and enjoy all that the Alleghany Highlands has to offer” said Chamber Executive Director Teresa Hammond.
