The Alleghany-Bath-Highland Bar Association (the Bar) is calling for seniors and their caregivers to sign up for Senior Law Day (SLD) scheduled for Wed., Aug. 10, at Mountain Gateway Community College.
A free lunch will be served by the Bar and its sponsors beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Moomaw Center. The event is scheduled to end by 2:30 p.m.
Lewis Gale Hospital Alleghany will provide free blood pressure tests and free glucose testing for those in attendance. The hospital will also provide free water for all guests.
As part of the formal proceedings, the Bar will provide a panel of speakers, mostly attorneys. Stephanie Grana, president of the Virginia State Bar Association, will introduce the members of the panel.
Covington Attorney William T. Wilson has set up his law office as the signup center for those who wish to register.

Dr. John Rainone, president of Mountain Gateway Community College who also serves as the president of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, will welcome everyone to the event.
