Cooper George, has quickly been impressive in this early part of the Valley Baseball League season.
George, has been hitting the ball well to start the VBL campaign as a member of the Covington Lumberjacks.
Through six games, George has a .389 batting average. He has seven hits in 18 at bats and has started all six games the Lumberjacks have played this season. George, has two RBI’s, one extra base hit, a stolen base, and has scored five runs. His batting average is third best among players on the Lumberjacks who have started in at least four games.
George is one of three to have appeared in all six games. Nate Stocum and Joshua Rodriguez are the other two to appear in all six games.
George is from Bluffton, South Carolina. This fall George will be a sophomore at Mount Olive College.
In his freshman season with the Mount Olive Trojans, George, batted .329, while starting in 47 games for the Trojans. He had 56 hits in 170 at bats to go along with 26 RBI’s.
