The Alleghany Mountaineers (9-3) girls basketball team, suffered their worst loss of the season on the road Friday evening when they lost 77-49 to the Carroll County Cavaliers (12-1).
Despite nine three-pointers made in the game from the Mountaineers, the team fell quickly behind double digits after the first quarter, trailing 17-4.
The Cavs were led by Kalee Easter who had a game-high 27 points, while Jaclyn Hagee dropped in 12 points, and Alyssa Erin added 12.
For the Mountaineers, the team was led by Kendell Keene, who scored a team-high 13 points, while Erin Harden chipped in with 12 points.
The Mountaineers, will be on the road this Friday against Radford.
