Today’s Headline: Covington Police Have Little Trouble.
Covington police have had very little to do this week. Since last Saturday there has been only one arrest and that case was dismissed. Other than these cases, the police have had nothing to worry about.
Mr. William Hutton of Washington is spending several days here as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Dunn of Ridgeway Street.

Today’s Headline: H.V. Humphries Seek Council Re-Election.
Incumbent City Councilman Howard V. Humphries, who had not definitely decided to seek reelection until a few weeks ago, qualified for the June council race Friday.
Baby Diana Sexton is a patient in the C&O Hospital with pneumonia. She is showing some improvement.

Today’s Headline: Riverside Street Widening Should Be Completed By Week’s End.
Widening of the Riverside-Monroe intersection to accomodate truck traffic to Westvaco should be completed by the end of the week. The $27,000 project is part of a total improvement plan for the city.
Irene Dameron, a former resident of Nimrod Hall, is a patient in Camelot Nursing Home in Salem.

Today’s Headline: DSLCC Holds Criminal Justice Day.
The Administration of Justice Program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College conducted the Sixth Annual Criminal Justice Career Fair on March 15.
Alleghany Mountain Radio will present its fourth annual Bath Bluegrass Jamboree Saturday, April 1, from 6-9 p.m. at Bath County High School.
