Covington City Council will hold its March work session Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers of Covington City Hall, 333 W. Locust St.
Council will:
– Hear a presentation regarding the Roanoke Regional Partnership;
– Hear a presentation from Teresa Hammond, executive director of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, regarding a Tourism Strategic Plan;
– Hear from Gary Matthews regarding emergency services billing;
– Hold a discussion regarding the comprehensive plan.
Items currently scheduled for the March 13 regular called meeting of council include:
– Consideration of an appointment to the Industrial Development Authority;
– Consideration of an appointment to the Redevelopment and Housing Board;
– Consideration of an appropriations resolution regarding pedestrian improvements in the amount of $9,166;
– Consideration of an appropriations resolution regarding sewer capital debt service.
