Valley Elementary School recently held its Title I Family Reading Night.
The theme this year was “Caution: Readers Under Construction”.
After a brief “construction meeting” to highlight activities that students participate in during the day, dinner was held and then students created their own toolboxes to hold cards that contained important information that they will need to know this year.
Local contractors Greg Pritt, left, of F.C. Plecker and Sons in Millboro, Daniel Plecker, center, of Waco, Inc. in Covington, and Christopher Plecker, right, also of F.C. Plecker and Sons, read construction-themed books to the students in grades Pre-K through four.
