One hundred ninth graders from Covington and Alleghany were scheduled to attend the event held at the DSLCC Convocation Center.
Despite a two-hour delay, the Alleghany Highlands Career Council, composed of DSLCC, Alleghany County Public Schools, Covington City Schools, Virginia Employment Commission and the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism presented 16 career pathways to introduce students to various professions.
The students were given three minutes with designated professionals to gather information of interest.
