Nancy Virginia Buston Downs, 80, of The Glebe, Daleville, Virginia died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at The Glebe.
Nancy was born October 26, 1933 in Tazewell, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Lucy Ward Buston.

Nancy was an avid genealogist, and enjoyed doing handiwork, attending church, visiting friends and reminiscing about her childhood on Pine Street in Tazewell.
A wonderful cook and world traveler, she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She loved her extended family and friends, attending two family reunions this summer, visiting the family camp at Griffith on the Cowpasture River, and dining at The Cat and The Owl restaurant with her devoted friend, Marilyn Woods. All who knew her will remember her sweet and caring spirit. The family extends deep appreciation for the excellent and loving care she received from the staff at The Glebe and from Gentle Shepherd Hospice.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Eugene Mullen Downs, in 2006; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy Buston Hunter and Louis Hunter; and a brother-in-law, Bertis E. Downs III.
