Helen Sue Knighton Lantz, 91, of  Covington, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
She was born May 26, 1923 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late James Robert and Susan Virginia Lee Knighton.
Other than her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Joseph Lantz, six sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are a special niece Sue Byers; a dear family friend, Donna Hugus; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was a dedicated homemaker and was retired from MeadWestvaco. She was a lifelong member of Mallow Presbyterian Church and participated in the women’s Daylight Circle, women’s Bible class and taught Sunday school.
Helen wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 2:00 pm at Mallow Presbyterian Church.
The family suggests that memorial donations in Helen’s name be made to Mallow Presbyterian Church, 2004 Mallow Road, Covington, VA 24426.
The Lantz family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.  www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
