WARM SPRINGS – These calls for service were made to the Bath County Sheriff’s Off-ice the week of Feb. 19-25:
Feb. 19: Major Bryan unlocked a vehicle in Mitchelltown.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip spoke with the magistrate in reference to a squad call. The magistrate advised that the caretaker could get an emergency custody order for the patient.
Caretaker never came to speak with the magistrate.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip responded to a vehicle in the ditch, north of Cucci’s on Sam Snead Highway.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip assisted a vehicle that was in the ditch, on Sam Snead Highway in Warm Springs.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip responded to a vehicle in the ditch, north of Pit Stop on Sam Snead Highway.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip assisted three vehicles that were in the ditch on Warm Springs Mountain.
Feb. 19: Sgt. Cutlip responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on Back Creek Mountain. He was unable to locate the vehicle.
Feb. 19: Captain Weaver unlocked a vehicle in Hot Springs.
Feb. 20: Sheriff Plecker conducted a well-being check on a male subject in Bacova.
Feb. 20: Major Bryan fingerprinted a subject for a concealed handgun permit.
Feb. 20: Sgt. Cutlip responded to a disturbance in the Cedar Creek area.
Feb. 20: Sgt. Cutlip responded to a dispute of a rental property on Lindsay Lane.
Feb. 20: Sgt. Cutlip responded on a BOLO issued by Alleghany County. The subject was located in Alleghany County.
Feb. 21: Captain Weaver spoke with a subject about threatening messages.
Feb. 21: Major Bryan and Captain Weaver responded to a report of a suspicious female subject walking along Mountain Valley Road. They were unable to locate the subject.
Feb. 21: Major Bryan and Captain Weaver responded to a report of a suspicious female subject who had been sitting in a vehicle for a couple of hours.
Feb. 22: Major Bryan and Dep. C. Smith responded on a BOLO issued by Alleghany County. Officers assisted Virginia State Police who stopped the vehicle.
Feb. 22: Dep. C. Smith spoke with a subject about a possible scam received by mail. The officer investigated and it was sent to the subject by mistake.
Feb. 22: Dep. C. Smith conducted a traffic stop on Sam Snead Highway in Warm Springs.
Feb. 22: Dep. Chestnut conducted a well-being check on a subject that called 911, on Mountain Valley Road in Millboro. The officer requested to call the family of the subject.
Feb. 22: Dep. Chestnut conducted a traffic stop on Sam Snead Highway north of Hot Springs.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith spoke with a subject about bad checks.
Feb. 23: Lt. Dunnagan and Virginia State Police responded to a report of a reckless driver on Mountain Valley Road in Millboro. Lt. Dunnagan advised that the vehicle was stopped.
Feb. 23: Captain Weaver responded to domestic dispute on Jackson River Turnpike. The officer gave advice to both parties that were involved.
Feb. 23: Major Bryan transported a prisoner from the Alleghany Regional Jail to Bath County court.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith spoke with a subject who had questions about a paper that they were served.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith responded to a report of a hit and run on Redemption Road. A subject was arrested on the charge of drunk in public and was transported to the Alleghany Regional Jail.
Feb. 23: Sheriff Plecker transported a prisoner from Bath County courts back to Alleghany Regional Jail.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith spoke with a subject about bad checks.
Feb. 23: Captain Weaver responded to a report of a tree down blocking the entire road on Cowpasture River Highway close to the Bath-Alleghany County line.
Feb. 23: Lt. Dunnagan and Virginia State Police responded to a report of a tree down blocking the northbound lane of Sam Snead Highway in Healing Springs.
Feb. 23: Captain Weaver and Lt. Dunnagan responded to a report of a tree down blocking the entire road on Douthat State Park Road.
Feb. 23: Captain Weaver, Lt. Dunnagan and Sgt. Cutlip responded to a residence on Cowpasture River Highway for an intoxicated subject who was causing a disturbance.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith responded to a report of a tree down blocking the entire road on Sam Snead Highway.
Feb. 23: Dep. C. Smith unlocked a vehicle in Hot Springs.
Feb. 23: Dep. Chestnut checked suspicious activity at a business in Millboro. The officer contacted the key holder of the business.
