CLIFTON FORGE, VA (VR) — Curious George, the lovable and always-inquisitive monkey from the beloved books, movies and award-winning PBS television show, is coming to The Historic Masonic Theatre on Thursday, November 5 at 6:00pm, in a brand-new musical adventure, Curious George: The Golden Meatball TYA. Curious George: The Golden Meatball TYA is sponsored by the Virgina Commission for the Arts.

Designed especially for young audiences, the musical follows George on a deliciously fun adventure filled with music, humor, swinging and plenty of monkey business.

It’s All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day, and George is helping his friend Chef Pisghetti prepare his famous meatballs. But this year, something has gone terribly wrong—the crowds have disappeared! A speedy Meatballs-o-Matic machine operated by Phinneas T. Lightspeed has taken over, leaving Chef Pisghetti ready to give up cooking altogether.

Determined to help his friend, George sets off for Rome to enter Chef Pisghetti’s meatballs in the world- famous Golden Meatball Contest. Along the way, he discovers more about Rome, cooking, friendship and the secret ingredient that makes everything better.

Curious George: The Golden Meatball TYA is a lively introduction to live theatre for young audiences and a fun adventure the whole family can enjoy.

The performance is free and open to the public.
