Stephen Edgar Tolley, of Goshen, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge.
Mr. Tolley was born December 11, 1939, at Goshen in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Harvey and Zelda Tinsley Tolley. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Brother, Richard Tolley.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War with the U S. Army.  He had retired in 1980 as a supervisor with the former Hercules, Inc. plant in Covington.  He was a member of Central Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are his Wife of 55 years, Carolyn Edwards Tolley, of Goshen;  his Daughter, Karen Craft and Scott McIntyre, of Covington;  two grandsons, Ethan Craft and his Wife, Anisha, of Richmond  and  Cody Craft of Roanoke; one Brother, James Tolley of Powhatan;  one Sister, Charlotte Wolfe and her Husband, Buddy, of Luray;  his Son-in-law, Wesley Craft, of Clifton Forge; his pet dog, Lucky, caregivers Lisa Richards and Amber Landrum and several nieces and nephews including a special caregiver, Michelle Jolly, of Goshen.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
The funeral service will be held Thursday evening, October 5, 2017, at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Ayers officiating.  
The family will receive their friends following the service at Arritt Funeral Home.
The family suggests that donations in Mr. Tolley’s name be made to the Alleghany Humane Society; P.O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA  24457.
