CALL TO ORDER

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Called Meeting July 10, 2026
Regular Meeting July 14, 2026

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the minutes for called meeting on July 10, 2026, and regular meeting on July 14, 2026.

PRESENTATION:

ACTION ITEMS:
1. Department Reports

 Director of Planning and Community Development
RECOMMENDATION: Approve all reports as submitted in writing.

2. Second reading of:

Conduct the Second Reading of an Ordinance to Authorize
Participation by the Town of Clifton Forge, Virginia in the VACO/VML
Virginia Investment Pool for the Purpose of Investing in Accordance
with Sections 2.2-4501 et seq. and 15.2-1300 of the Virginia Code.

RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve the ordinance as presented.

3. An Ordinance Amending Section 82-15 of the Code of the Town of
Clifton Forge, Virginia of 2015, as Amended for the Purpose of
Providing for Courtesy Notices for Inoperable Vehicles Unlawfully
Parked.

RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve the ordinance as presented.

4. An Ordinance Amending section 62-9 of the code of the town of
Clifton forge, Virginia of 2015, as Amended, for the Purpose of
Setting a Fine for Unlawful Discharge of Firearms.

RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve the ordinance as presented.
Department: Police

5. Consideration of Request from Clifton Forge Shriners Club to Host
the 2026 Fall Festival on October 16–18, 2026, with event setup
beginning Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

RECOMMENDATION: Consider approval of the Clifton Forge Shriners
Club’s request to host the 2026 Fall Festival in the Town of Clifton Forge.

6. Consideration of Proposal from Mr. Richard Deaton to Purchase
Town-Owned Property

RECOMMENDATION: Consider the proposal submitted by Mr. Richard
Deaton to purchase Town-owned parcel 118-1-D (Gump Land & Cattle) for
the purchase price of $5,000.00.

7. Consideration of Request to Close Ridgeway Street for the Clifton
Forge Craft Brew Fest

RECOMMENDATION: Consider approval of a request to close Ridgeway
Street between Roxbury Street and Commercial Avenue on Saturday,
September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., to accommodate the
Clifton Forge Craft Brew Fest.
